Having a look and keeping in literature reading is the shortest and safest way to learn a language, because you take it from its origins.

But in English literature, we have to find out which literature we have to start with.

First of all and according to my humble opinion, we have to start with the simple short stories. Just keep reading and reading even if you don't understand what you are looking at. Then, start looking up some new words in dictionary in order to get the main idea of the story at least.

Don't start reading novels or poetry..
Don't start reading any of the old works like Shakespear's works or John Milton's ones. because they are written in a very old style of the laguage which is impossible to understand.

at first i thanks you alot for your knowledge and i am start by short notes .
my brother iam study English literation and i know what you say that is correct idea that we beginning by short notes this will be the first lesson.
